Western Canadian Tire Dealers Association Hall of Famer, Lou Leibl founded Sturgeon Tire back in 1987. Sturgeon Tire began as a used tire store that sold passenger and light truck and some farm tires. Eventually, a retread plant was fully operational at the Sturgeon Road location. As the company grew and took shape, many industry veterans would join the Sturgeon Tire team. Today many of them continue to offer Sturgeon Tire’s customers knowledge, insight and trusted advice based on their hundreds of years of combined tire industry experience.

In the 1990’s Sturgeon Tire added blems to their list of products and eventually started to bring in Cooper Tire products. Today, we continue to buy and sell used tire and are proud to offer Cooper, TBC brands, Pirelli, Mickey Thompson and a variety of other brands to our loyal dealers and retail customers. We also offer a competative retreading program for medium truck tires.

Sturgeon Tire continues to grow and expand its distribution network throughout Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario. Our fifty person team currently operates six strategically located locations in Winnipeg and one in Brandon to service our retail and wholesale customers and a variety of commercial fleets.

One important factor, which has been a central part of Sturgeon Tire’s continuing success, is our long-standing commitment to our customers.  Since the first day we opened our doors for business it has been our priority to ensure our customers quality products, superior service and exceptional value while maintaining professionalism and integrity.
